On their arrival after the fall of Voeburt, the Pixies added flowers and magical touches to the landscape. They have also maintained the pastoral traditions that shaped the area, grazing their dairy sheep in the flowery meadows. When bears preyed on these woolly friends, the furious Pixies grew plants on the creatures' bodies, evolving the what is now known as the rosebear—and inadvertently making them scarier. </td></tr></table> [[I know those wings on the wall...]] [[Is that a leafman??]] [[Bookman's Shelves, good times]] [[The visitor services desk]] [[Let's go downstairs]] <<if $key is true>> [[Ready to head out]] <<else>> <</if>>

It now stands as Lyhe Ghiah, the former prison of the late Faerie King and current court of King Titania of the Fae. This new name comes from both the Fae and Voeburtite languages, and is thought to translate to “wings of dreams.” The castle is situated on a stone plateau surrounded by crystal-studded mountains that show the distinctive weathering patterns of karst topography. The geology of the region tells its story: the mountain face to the north was cracked during battles between sin eaters and the former Titania. Lyhe Ghiah was once surrounded by a town, which was in turn flooded by the amphibious Fuath on their arrival. Now, the shadow of the castle hosts teeming waters full of fish and shellfish species. </td></tr></table> [[There's a windowseat?]] [[Is that a leafman??]] [[Bookman's Shelves, good times]] [[The visitor services desk]] [[Let's go downstairs]] <<if $key is true>> [[Ready to head out]] <<else>> <</if>>

It underwent tremendous environmental change in the aftermath of the Flood of Light, when the Kingdom of Voeburt collapsed and the Faeries took over. And those who visit are often changed physically or psychologically by playful Pixies or trickster Fuath. One example is the leafman, a botanic metamorphosis now characteristic of the flora of Il Mheg. While the Fuath are expressly motivated to guard their Forbidden Kingdom, Dohn Mheg, none know why the Pixies transform visitors into leafmen. Their desire for playmates is one possibility, but there are thought to be others. Pixies describe leafmen as "our children," altered due to attachment and carefully cultivated. One account describes a knight of Voeburt who was wounded by a sin eater. Before he could become a monster, a Pixie took pity on him and changed him into a leafman. Another describes distressed survivors of sin eater attacks turned into peaceful leafmen who stand forever on the Silent Cliffs. The transformation was once thought irreversible, but recent accounts suggest the possibility of restoring a leafman's original form with porxie magic—although the process may have limited applications. </td></tr></table> [[There's a windowseat?]] [[I know those wings on the wall...]] [[Bookman's Shelves, good times]] [[The visitor services desk]] [[Let's go downstairs]] <<if $key is true>> [[Ready to head out]] <<else>> <</if>>

"Cool volunteer gig, huh?" you say to the Docentway. "Yes indeed!" they chirp. "There is so much to learn from the First, and from all the Shards! Here, have you seen this? It just came out!" Dark skies are critical not only to natural environments, but to those who live there. Indeed, since night returned the Pixies have observed improved leafman growth, perhaps suggesting a previously unmet need for sleep. Fae runes include astronomical terms for phenomena temporarily lost during the Flood of Light: for example, Ul: the moon, or darkness; and Eo: a star, or a lesser light. Young Pixies and Amaro can now experience their namesakes firsthand, and in interviews several expressed gratitude to the Warriors of Darkness for making it possible. </td></tr></table> [[Visit the caves]] [[Play in the discovery room]] [[See the fishies]] [[Go back upstairs]]

The Docentway greets you brightly. "Wanna see some poisons?" Startled, you examine the items on her table as she introduces herself as Healingway. "This is moss fungus," she says. "Native to Il Mheg, centuries ago it was used as an assassin's poison in the Kingdom of Voeburt. They'd add it to drinks over time, the victim would fall ill and eventually die, and no one would be the wiser." She nibbles a sprig happily. "It's slow-acting, so Esuna takes care of it just fine, but..." she sighs. "If I was a Voeburtite who had to go, I think I'd like it to be by blowfish toxin, but this would be a close second."
